Are Europeans immigrating to Africa in their droves?
The African continent is made up of many historical backgrounds and each country has its own story to tell. As a whole, it has been eagerly explored and colonised by many European countries in its earlier years. In some instances the thought of Europeans immigrating to Africa may seem somewhat a controversial topic as everyone bears their own opinion with this regard.
To start off, it is plain to see that many individuals from various countries resort to immigrating for various reasons. Some choose to live a better lifestyle which they may not otherwise be afforded whilst in Europe as they would when living in Africa and some Africans immigrate for better earnings in European countries. Europeans to Africa may extend their skills in for example healthcare and education. Some immigrate for temporary employment or because their loved one resides in another country. Just as there are many Africans immigrating within the African continent, there are also many Europeans relocating to Africa.
What makes Africa so viable to Europeans?
There are many African countries that are not only growing as nations but also expanding and diversifying their economy and overall improvement of living standards for their people by creating jobs. Foreign investments not only benefit a country’s economy gaining financial aid and recognition amongst other, but also benefit the investor and the locals within the country. Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Algeria and Kenya are simply to name a few of Africa’s top countries for great investment opportunity.
Education for immigrant children in Africa
When moving to Africa, expatriate families will be pleased about the fact that their children won’t skip out on their education syllabus. This is due to a majority of African countries that are equipped with not only local government schools but also international schools that are up-to -date with the syllabus internationally no matter where in the world or on the African continent you may find yourself and your family. There are also private and other independent schooling facilities that offer top-notch learning.
Earn more, pay less
It can also be concluded that many individuals choose to immigrate to another country due to the financial benefits. Europeans immigrating to Africa may find that they are afforded low cost of living, whilst being able to enjoy the “finer” things in life. Whilst the remuneration may be beneficial but probably in no ways as much as it would be in other parts of Europe given the currency differences, other neighbouring qualified African foreign nationals may find better earnings in Africa compared to their homeland as well as when moving abroad an even better income status.
Now whilst many African countries may not offer the same high standards of healthcare service as Western countries do, there are a few who afford outstanding and up-to-date healthcare.
Europeans immigrating to Africa will find that settling in may take some time and adjustment, but may prove to be worth their while.
